The final outcome of the Materials Project. The installation consists of fifty hollowed light bulbs which hang three meters off the ground from a wire frame via string. Viewers are able to interact with the installation; walking through and underneath the vessels; viewing, maneuvering and photographing them as they please - their kinetic energy providing countless distortions and new imagery bred within each individual light bulb.

Among my Grandparents’ possessions, I stumbled across some boxes containing 1000 unused light bulbs. This marks the turning point in the project where I identified and adapted my subject matter.
This photograph follows on from an accidental smashing of a light bulb, which would later lead to my final outcome.
